COVID-19 Breakout In Italy Triggers MIDO Postponement
February 22, 2020
The breakout of dozens of cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus has put a dozen towns in the Lombardy region of Italy in Lockdown. Those towns are all suburbs to Milan where MIDO, the largest optical show in the world was to celebrate its 50th Anniversary event, February 29th through March 2nd. With the sudden and rapid number of cases reported and a two week incubation period expected to reveal dozens more infected individuals, the Board of Directors of MIDO has voted to postpone the exhibition until the end of May or beginning of June.
