How To Prevent Glasses From Slipping
Always having to push my glasses back when they slip off? Maybe it's time to make some adjustments so the glasses don't slip off anymore. If you're in a hurry, there are many quick fixes you can try yourself at home to temporarily keep your glasses in place.
Wash your face to remove natural oils.
Oil from the skin can cause glasses to slip out of the nose. The most effective way is to use natural skin care products that remove oil and wash your face 1-2 times a day. Apply the cleanser to your skin, then rinse thoroughly, put on your glasses, and see if it still slides.
1.Your body may produce more oil during the day, so it's a good idea to carry cleansing wipes with you to wipe off excess oil at any time.
2.Frequent use of cleansers to remove oils may dry out your skin.
Wrap the hair tie around the leg of the mirror for extra friction.
Get two hair ties that match the color of the frame so they fit perfectly into the legs without being too obtrusive. Slide one of the hair ties a third of the way down the mirror leg and stop for a loop. Pull the hair tie tight and then thread it through the leg again. Continue circling a few times until the cord is snug against the mirror leg, then switch sides and repeat
1.Try to keep the hair tie flat against the mirror leg so that it is uncomfortable to wear without wearing it.
2.Try a variety of thicknesses to see which one fits the legs best and is the most comfortable to wear.
Wax the beam in the mirror to prevent it from sliding.
The glasses' anti-slip wax comes in a tube like lip balm and provides friction between the frame and the nose. Remove the lid and apply a small amount of wax to the middle beam of the glasses. Put on your glasses and see if they still slip off. If it still slides, apply more wax.
You can buy anti-slip wax for glasses online or at your local pharmacy.
