Strabismus is a common ophthalmic disease and one of the important causes of binocular vision abnormalities. Strabismus not only affects the appearance, leads to poor visual development and amblyopia, but also leads to the abnormality or even loss of binocular vision.
Overview and classification of strabismus
Strabismus means that two eyes cannot look at the target at the same time. When one eye is fixed on a target, the other eye deviates from the target.
Classification of strabismus:
1. Heterophoria
2. Esotropia
Congenital (infantile) esotropia
Concomitant esotropia
Secondary esotropia
Incomitant esotropia
Esotropia with nystagmus
3. Exotropia
Congenital exotropia
Concomitant exotropia
Incomitant exotropia
4. A-V strabismus
