Visible Genomics, a Chicago-area genetics testing company has announced the launch of a new non-invasive genetic eye test that determines a patient’s likelihood of contracting Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), a disease that causes blindness.  AMD affects the macular, the central part of the retina, and is one of the leading causes of irreversible vision loss in the United States, affecting over 11 million Americans.
