What is Autorefractor

An autorefractor is a computerized machine used in optometry and ophthalmology clinics
to measure an individual's refractive error and determine the appropriate prescription for
corrective lenses such as eyeglasses or contact lenses. The device works by projecting a series
of images or patterns onto the retina of the patient's eye and analyzing the reflected light to
calculate the eye's curvature and focus. This information is then used to generate an accurate
prescription for vision correction. Autorefractors are particularly useful for quickly and accurately
diagnosing visual acuity problems, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
