AG-DE002A Hospital biphasic defibrillators deliver current in two directions. This biphasic defibrillator delivers a therapeutic dose of electrical energy to the heart through two sets of electrodes. The first set of electrodes of the biphasic defibrillator is placed on the chest and the second set is placed on the patient's back. The device then alternates between delivering electrical shocks to the front and back of the heart.
