Amblyopia Case Analysis
Case
The 5-year-old child, a female, had a history of congenital ptosis in her left eye and underwent ptosis surgery half a year ago. Now the parents take the children for eye examination. The inspection results are as follows:
Except that the upper eyelid of the left eye is slightly lower than that of the right eye, there are no obvious other organic lesions:
Far naked eye vision: OD:0.8 OS:0.15
Near naked eye vision: OD:1.0 OS:0.15
Distant covering experiment: positive position
Close range covering test: 5 △ ESO
Cycloplegia optometry:
OD : +1.50DS/-0.50DCX10 1.0
OS : +1.25DS/-0.50DCX170 0.2
Worth 4 light on examination: no obvious inhibition of both eyes
Binocular stereopsis test: None
Fixation nature: central fixation
Half year follow-up:
Far naked eye vision: OD:1.0 OS:0.5
Near naked eye vision: OD:1.0 OS:0.6
Far covering experiment: positive position
Near cover experiment: 3 △ ESO
Binocular stereoscopic examination: 240 "
Analysis: the child has low vision in his left eye. He once had a history of correction of ptosis in his left eye. Cycloplegia optometry showed mild hyperopia in both eyes, and there was no obvious anisometropia in both eyes. However, since the child had ptosis in his left eye after birth, it affected the normal stimulation of light, resulting in deprivation amblyopia in his left eye. After active amblyopia training and treatment, the vision of his left eye showed a gradual upward trend, and the stereoscopic function of both eyes was improved.
